Core Time A#
A-01 Current Status of the Dialect AI Project
Dialect and... AI? Curious about what this "project" is.
Building and Utilizing a Morphological Analysis Dictionary for Japanese Dialects project released a paper this year Development of a Morphological Analysis Dictionary for Kansai Dialect, and Web Chamame now supports selecting "Kansai Dialect," but the presenter does not seem to be from this project.
A-02 You Can Do It with a Computer! Methods for Experimental Research on Language.
Curious about what will be discussed.
A-06 Contrast of Japanese and Korean Onomatopoeia
Mainly interested in what "Korean Onomatopoeia" looks like.
A-11 Is the Origin of Language Communication?: From the Perspective of Computational Psycholinguistics
Computational... computational psycholinguistics? Sounds interesting, and the discussion topics seem intriguing.
Core Time B#
B-07 Exploration and Verification of Corpus Linguistics: How to Face Data?
Is it about what kind of data corpus linguistics needs?
B-32 Forms and Meanings of the Suffix -er in Modern Japanese
Hmm? I read the title several times, isn't it "XXX in Modern Chinese" 233 (Oops, revealing my amateur linguistics background).
Core Time C#
C-08 Usage Rate of Rising and Falling Intonation by Phrase Boundary
Interested in this presentation because I heard Ta present 'i3_A1: The Relationship between Rising and Falling Intonation and Conversational Forms—Using the "Japanese Daily Conversation Corpus"' at Language Resource Workshop 2024 six months ago.
C-34 The Relationship between Accent and Melody in Hit Songs
Curious about which "hit songs" are being studied...Blindly guessing "Kasuga Kage"
C-37 Performance Analysis of Existing Morphological Analysis Software
Hahaha, this presentation might easily offend peers 233, but without a doubt, it is the one I am most looking forward to.
Mecab: What level are you at to compare performance with my C++ morphological analyzer
Rust: Sir, times have changed
awesome-japanese-nlp-resources lists many morphological analyzers, but everyone's introductions are quite subtle. Most companies probably just use the analyzer corresponding to the language they are familiar with, without seriously comparing performance.
There was also a presentation in this direction at PyCon JP 2020: https://github.com/taishi-i/toiro.
Unimportant point: The presenter is affiliated with "Kokubunji High School"—are they a teacher or a student there... Although it was clearly stated this time that minors are allowed to participate, I can't believe high school students would actually come to present (surprised)!
